Puerto Aventuras Yacht Clubs

Puerto Aventuras, located on Federal Highway 307, is a yachting, golf and tennis resort community with impressive vacation villas and condos. While it’s a bit more upscale than some of the other Riviera Maya destinations, the ambiance is still relaxed and friendly. Many visitors come here to relax and take advantage of the amenities, while others arrive with a specific activity in mind such as snorkeling, scuba diving or fishing. The marina is the center of the community, with a number of restaurants and shops lining the water.

Puerto aventuras is a great location for families, couples and solo travelers looking to get away from it all. It’s also close to major destinations like Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Cancun.

The area is home to an influx of wealthy expats, vacationing families and snow-birds who buy homes here or long-term rentals in the beautiful community with its gorgeous beaches and luxurious villas. The modern site of the community didn’t really start until the 1980s when a few developers decided to build resorts and vacation villas. It began as a resort staff settlement, but as it grew it started to look more like a town with its own personality and charm.

The main activities revolve around the marina, with a number of restaurants and shops, all surrounded by lush green gardens and beautiful beaches. The beaches around the two marina mouths are mostly pebbly and no swimming is allowed, but they are pretty to walk on, with rocky points that make for an exhilarating walk or stroll. The beaches to the south, in front of Chac Hal Al inlet and beyond are principally private properties, but are accessible via a gate at the entrance to the community.

Most of the restaurants are clustered in and around the marina, with a few independently-owned coffee shops (including a Starbucks), gelato stands, a few pubs, a couple of good Italian eateries, and other restaurants with a range of cuisines. Some of them have a unique vibe in that they’re on the dolphin lagoon, and have views of the boats and catamarans moored in the marina.

For those looking to go out on the water, there are a number of yacht charters to choose from that depart from the Puerto Aventuras Marina, including sunset cruises and Snorkel trips with a bilingual captain. The yachts can be rented for an hour or longer, and all include open bar and music. Guests can choose to go to the Ihna Reef, which is the second largest barrier reef in the world, or simply cruise along the Riviera Maya coastline. They’ll have the chance to see sea turtles, fishes and other amazing marine life. It’s a fun, relaxing and easy way to enjoy the best of the Riviera Maya. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or are returning, you won’t leave disappointed. Puerto Aventuras Yachts
